Homemade Salad Dressings

Hearty homemade salad dressings! Simple kind of starters are dead easy to put together in advance and you can even prep it all the day before and leave it in the fridge for your dinner party the next day. If you’re throwing a dinner party for 6 guests and want to spend more time with your guests then in the kitchen, try to prepare these sauces ahead of time.

We’ve created a few dressing choices for you to choose from, check it out and try it for yourself!

Ingredients

FOR SALAD :

About 100g of mix salad leaves per person (you can buy pre packed or pick up different leaves that you like)

4 cherry tomatoes per person

1 whole cucumber sliced

50g fresh herbs (basil, dill, parsley, coriander, etc)

If you want to be fancy buy some fancy cheese (blue, fetta or mozarella), dried fruit and nuts for sprinkling on top

FOR HERB VINAIGRETTE :

2 part vinegar
4 parts oil
1 garlic chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
*Combine all ingredients into a jar and shake well
FOR HONEY MUSTARD :
1 part mustard
2 parts oil
1 part vinegar
2 parts honey
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
*Combine all ingredients into a jar and shake well
FOR YOGURT RANCH :
2 part yogurt (in a bowl, whisk until smooth)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 parts oil
1 clove garlic chopped finely
1 tablespoon chopped spring onions
2 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
*Combine all ingredients into a bowl and whisk until smooth

Instructions

  1. Toss the salad lightly with one of the dressings of your choice
  2. Place the salad over a pretty platter or in a salad bowl.
  3. Sprinkle with extra toppings if you have any
  4. Serve immediately to your guests and enjoy!
