Wanton Soup


1 x packet of wanton sheets
200g fresh prawns peeled and chopped
200g mince chicken
2 x spring onion chopped finely
4cm x ginger
4 x garlic cloves
White pepper
4 x table spoon soy sauce
1 x tablespoon sesame oil
1 x tablespoon corn flour
1 x chicken carcass
1 x liter water
Whether you're thinking of something hearty or healthy, there's nothing like a good ol' pot of wholesome broth tossed with wanton bites!


1.In a mixing bowl, add in chopped up prawns, mince chicken, 1/2 chopped spring onion, 1 cm grated ginger, 1 chopped garlic, white pepper, soy sauce, sesamee oil, corn flour, pinch of salt and sugar and mix well
2. In a pot add in 1 liter water, remainder of ginger and garlic cloves as well as the chicken carcas and bring to boil. Season with salt
3.Remove wanton sheets and make dumplings and place each dumpling on baking tray with parchment paper
4.Once the chicken soup has been boiling for 10 minutes, remove chicken carcass, garlic and ginger
5.Slowly add in dumpling and let it cook for 2 - 3 minutes in the boiling hot broth
6.Remove dumpling with some of the broth, sprinkle with spring onions, and drizzle with a little bit sesame oil
