Steam Fish


1 Seabass (About 400g)
4 Spring Onions
5cm of Ginger, Half Julienned and the other half sliced into discs
2 Garlic Chives, Sliced
2 Tablespoons of Oyster Sauce
4 Tablespoons of Light Soy Sauce
Salt and White Pepper to Taste
1/4 Cup of Vegetable Oil
Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
1 Red Chili, Deseeded and Julienned
So good to have it on it's own or you could even have it with some rice !


1.In a bowl, add in light soy, oyster sauce, chopped garlic, salt and white pepper and mix well.
2. Julienne 1 chili and half of the spring onions cut into 2cm lengths and half of the ginger is to be julienned as well
3. In a heat proof plate, add in the remaining ginger and spring onions into the cavities and under the fish before pouring the dressing over the fish and garnishing it with julienned chilies, garlic and more spring onions
4.Steam the fish in a bamboo steamer for 8 - 10 minutes
5.In a pot heat up the oil and add in some sliced garlic
6. Once the fish is cooked, pour the hot oil on top and serve immediately with a handful of coriander


Recently we created this yummy dish, Steam Fish and it was so yummy that we decided to share it with you!
Such simple ingredients but it is packed with so much flavors. We used a smaller fish, so it’s perfect for 2. This recipe is also great to make for your reunion dinner. Have it on its own or with some rice. Perfect!
