Oyster Chicken Mushroom Porridge


250g of Chicken Breast cut into small chunks
6 Tablespoons of Oyster Sauce
2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
2cm of Ginger, Sliced
1/4 Cup of Dried Shitake Mushrooms
2 Cups of Jasmine/Brown Rice, Rinsed
9 Cups of Water
Salt, Pepper & Sugar to taste
This Oyster Chicken Mushroom Porridge is my all time favourite comfort food! It can be eaten any time of the day and is great to make for your family, especially the little ones. The flavours of the mushrooms and oyster sauce come really well together to make this yummy bowl of comfort.


1.In a rice cooker, add in all the ingredients at once, stir, and cook until it becomes porridge.
2.For added flavours and crunch, you should garnish the porridge with chopped scallions or fried onions before serving

For added flavours and crunch, you could sprinkle some freshly chopped scallions.
