Description

Seeing as it’s Durian Season, I thought I’d just make this amazing, creamy, scrumptious Pengat Durian, also known as Serawa Durian, and let me tell you when I say this was soooo good! Also, the fact that you can use just any simple, not-that-tasty Durian and STILL make this recipe taste spectacular is so awesome guys.

Ingredients

Scale

500ml Coconut milk
1.5 liter Water
500g Durian
1 Pandan leaf
140g Gula Melaka
A pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. First, let’s cook the sago, check out how I cook my sago Here!
  2. In a pot, add in water, pandan leaf, gula melaka, and durian. On a low flame, bring it to a boil.
  3. Add coconut milk, and salt in it. Cook it until the durian softens and add gula melaka if needed.
  4. Serve it hot or cold according to your preference.
  5. It pairs well with toasted bread, stemmed pulut, and Roti Jala, or just by itself is good to go.
